Who Inspects Your Roof
I'm Bret Ruth. I grew up in Oil City, I live and work in Franklin, and I run this site through TableTurn Digital.
I'm independent, so I don't work for just one roofing company. I get on the roof, show you what I see, and recommend whoever is the best fit for your job. If there's nothing wrong, I'll tell you that too.
What Gets Checked
- Shingles: hail hits, bruising, cracks, lifted or missing tabs, heavy granule loss
- Metal panels: dents, loose fasteners and seam problems
- Flashing around chimneys, walls, skylights and valleys
- Pipe boots, vents and exhaust caps
- Gutters and downspouts, including dents and granules collecting inside
- Siding and window trim on the side that faced the storm
- Signs of leaks inside, like ceiling stains or damp attic wood, if you'd like me to look
You get the photos and a plain summary of what was found, so you have a record whether or not you move forward.
Matched to the Right Crew
Not every roof needs the same kind of contractor. After the inspection, I'll recommend the crew that fits your situation and explain why.
Storm Damage and Insurance Work
An established storm restoration company that works with insurance companies every day.
- Hail and wind damage on shingle roofs
- Siding and gutters damaged in the same storm
- Homeowners filing an insurance claim
Metal, Barns and Cash Repairs
Experienced local crews, including Amish roofing crews known for solid metal and agricultural work.
- Metal roofs and standing seam
- Barns, pole buildings, garages and camps
- Repairs and reroofs paid out of pocket
You always make the final call. If you'd rather get more than one estimate, just say so.
How It Works
- Request an inspection using the form below or call (814) 209-8304.
- I call you to set a time that works for you, usually within a few days of your request, depending on weather and demand after a storm.
- The inspection. I check the roof, take photos and walk you through what I found.
- Your next step. If work is needed, I connect you with the right crew for a written estimate. If not, you're done, at no cost.
About Insurance
Pennsylvania homeowners policies often cover sudden storm damage like wind and hail, but not normal wear or age. Photos taken soon after a storm give you a clear record to share with your insurance company.
Please note: I document what I find. I'm not an insurance company or a public adjuster, and I don't negotiate claims for you. Your insurance company decides what is covered under your policy.
How This Stays Free
You never pay for the inspection. If you hire a contractor I recommend, that contractor pays TableTurn Digital a referral fee once the job is sold. I'll always tell you who I'm recommending and why, so there's nothing hidden.
